The Cotabato Libraries and Information Network, Inc.(COLINET) is a duly recognized and SEC-registered professional organization composed of librarians and libraries in North Cotabato area. It is a non-profit association. It was established in 2001 in response to the vision of enhancing the quality of library and information services in the area. COLINET serves as a dynamic platform for collaboration, professional, development, and resource sharing among its member institutions.
COLINET is committed to fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in the field of librarianship. It provides avenues for continuing professional development through the conduct of seminars, workshops, and trainings aimed at equipping information professionals with up-to-date knowledge and skills aligned with current trends and standards in the profession.
In line with its advocacy for inclusive access to information, COLINET promotes inter- library cooperation and resource sharing to strengthen library networks and services across the region. It also actively engages in community outreach initiatives that underscore the vital role of libraries in education, research, and social development.
Furthermore, COLINET supports its member libraries in complying with national library standards and encourages the integration of modern information technologies to enhance service delivery. It maintains partnerships with educational institutions, government agencies, the Philippine Librarians Associations, National Library of the Philippines, to promote policies, initiatives that uplift the profession and expand the of quality library services.
Through its programs and initiatives, COLINET continues to be steadfast advocate for the development of libraries as essential institutions for lifelong learning and community empowerment.
